Get away to Rockport

Ryan asked to go fishing for his fathers day present and for his birthday present. We decided to head to the Texas coast with the Millers. We left early and started the beautiful drive south en route to find some good BBQ. We stopped and at the City Market which was top ranked by Texas Monthly. We continued our adventure and arrived in Rockport. We arrived checked into our awesome house and then headed to dinner. After dinner, Lisa and I went to HEB to stock up on food and drinks with the lil kids. I forgot to mention the lil man stayed with mimi since we were going to be spending a lot of time outside. While we were shopping the big guys went "gigging" for flounder and had a blast. They were able to see flounder, sting rays, dolphins and all sorts of fish. The next day we had a big breakfast and we headed to the beach at Port Aransas and ate dinner at my favorite place Trout Street. Hunter loved eating there and seeing all of the "amazing" big boats. Saturday morning the big boys woke up early and went fishing and Lisa and I with the kids hit the pool for the day. It was so nice to relax and hang around the pool for the day. Saturday night we headed into town to Latitude and we enjoyed a fabulous dinner were they prepared our fish.

Wednesday was a special day! Jake and Avery got to have their first of very many shopping trips with their moms! Madison went to camp and the boys went with me. Hunter and Jake got to meet Avery and Connor. Connor is Trisha's best friend Laura's son. Connor was born a week after Jake. The two boys will be watching over Avery for years to come. Hunter and Jake got to meet Avery and Hunter was so excited. We had a great time eating lunch and walking around.

Happy Birthday Ali

What a fun night out for Alison's birthday. It was fun since everyone had either just had a baby or is expecting.  Poor Alison is expecting any day now. We had a fun night out at into the glass and were able to catch up minus all of the kiddo's. It is great getting together because all of us grew up together, several of us went to college together and worked at Sonic together. Ali and I share a bond because growing up she always used my id.

Lake with the big kids

This week has been crazy busy and this afternoon we got away and took the big kids to the lake. They love the lake and being outside. Hunter loves to sit upfront and yell at Ryan to drive faster. Madison did a first today, she jumped off the side of the boat into the lake. I think the swim lessons this week helped. Happy Early Fathers Day RyRy.

NRH20

Since Madison was 2 1/2 we have been coming to NRH20. Every summer the two of us would go and meet up with friends and spend the day swimming and playing. This year we added Hunter to the summer fun and he loved it! Baby Jake went and spent the day with Nana and Mom and the two big kids went to NRH20. We got there and Hunter was so excited. We started it the kid area and after about 2 or 3 times down the "baby" slide he pointed to the big kid area and said let's go to the "fun" slides. Let's remember at the end of the summer last year, Madison gained the courage to ride one of the 5 slides. Hunter ran up and picked the tallest and fastest slide and was off! The kid has no fear. The two of them stuck together and had a blast!

Baby Avery

I am so excited to announce the I am an AUNT. There is something great about being an aunt, you can spoil em and then send them home. Trisha and Austin welcomed baby girl Avery Alexandra Arnold on Monday, June 10th. I have to say she is BEAUTIFUL and I am so happy for them. I love having a little baby girl around. There is something so fun with baby girls, maybe it's because I love to shop for them! ;-)

We LOVE Miss Jennifer

It seems like yesterday when Madison started the ECDC. It is hard to believe that our first born will be going off to Kindergarten at Glenhope. She has loved going to the ECDC and we have been beyond blessed to have Miss Jennifer for two years. She has learned a love for learning and school, which every parent loves! This year it was great because she was in class with several of our teacher friends! She was bff with Emerson Denning and Brooke Bereuter, I can remember when both of them were born. Some of Madison's favorite things at the ECDC were: pajama day, splash day, all the art projects, sack lunch day, learning about the weather and the home centers.
